Yardex Achieves World Rugby Reg. 22 Compliance for Turf System

A standard for quality and innovation

Yardex is pleased to announce that our Stadia 6014 and Flexpad 22 synthetic turf system has passed rigorous testing and now officially meets the standards of World Rugby regulation. Meeting this quality concept reflects the high standard of the products we produce for the market.

World Rugby’s Regulation 22 is an internationally recognised standard that ensures artificial turf fields are suitable for rugby union and international competitions. These surfaces are designed to maintain optimal performance and durability regardless of weather conditions, and ensure consistent player/surface interaction.

This recognition confirms reliability and quality of our products as we continue to work with the professional sports industry.

Yardex FlexPad solution

Our rugby turf system includes the Yardex FlexPad: an advanced, expanded EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) that absorbs shock for increased safety and performance. Known for its ability to absorb shock and protect against head impacts, this pad is suitable for rugby, football, GAA, and other contact sports such as men’s lacrosse and American Football.

The panels interlock smoothly, allowing for quick installation that is resilient to weather conditions. The modular design also simplifies resurfacing when required. Additionally, the pad’s thermal insulation properties contribute to cost-effective field construction, which can be adapted to various base construction solutions including ‘no dig’ designs.

Making our mark in the international sports arena

This achievement follows our recent recognition as a Certified Turf Manufacturer under the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Quality Program, further establishing Yardex’s role in providing reliable sports surfaces.

“Achieving World Rugby Regulation 22 compliance for one of our systems reflects our commitment to maintaining high standards. This certification highlights the expertise of our team and strengthens Yardex’s position in the international sports industry.”

Bill Lennox, Managing Director of Yardex

With World Rugby Regulation 22 compliance, we are equipped to offer certified artificial turf solution for rugby at all levels. Our focus on innovation and quality ensures that we provide athletes with safe and reliable surfaces as we continue to expand our offering in the professional sports sector.

It is worth noting that this system is also tested to RFL Community and Stadia, as well as Gaelic Football and FIFA Quality making it a true allrounder and taking us one step closer to the ‘one turf concept’.
